What's fun?

Bling is fun!

A layout I created for the Scrap Boutique Stash Stomper challenge:

I actually have heaps more bling than I thought. When did it happen that I accumulated so much that I had to "use it up" in a stash challenge?? One of those mysteries...

Haberdashery is fun!

I don't tend to go overboard with haberdashery items but I do have a huge button collection and I found some other fun bits in my stash for this layout:

And speaking of haberdashery, my insane ribbon stash featured on my layout for Scrap Boutique's monthly challenge:

Thickers are fun!

I did a mini-challenge over at Scrap Therapy to use up some of my Thicker stash. This is my layout and coordinating card:

Silhouettes are fun!

I submitted this photograph for a challenge over at Scrapbook Savvy, and loved it so much that I've started a layout as well. I need to go out and take more photographs now, just love the change of mood that a silhouette can evoke.

Time again for a sketch layout for CISters Stylish Sketches. This week's sketch was created by Liz, and this is my contribution:

Shoes Off

Speaking of CISters, super talented Manon Keir has very kindly nominated me for a blog award. Thank you!!

More about Stylish Class Kits

My Child of the Universe class kit at Crafting in Style has SOLD OUT , how cool is that? Well, maybe not so cool for anyone that missed out, but the great news is that the instructions are available as a PDF download... for only 99c. Those who have seen my class kits before will know that I create very detailed step-by-step instructions, with photographs... bargain! AND I can be contacted via the forum for extra assistance if required.

This is the first layout in the kit:

There is a companion layout included in the kit too, but that's only for those who purchase the kit or download the instructions.

My next Stylish Class Kit, Sulphur Crested Cockatoo, is now up in the store. It is a very versatile design which will suit just about any layout theme, and features layering and circles:

For anyone who already has the materials at hand, this class also has a PDF download option for 'instructions only'

Stylish kits

are back at Crafting in Style... with a new focus on keeping it simple, stylish and affordable, and using a limited release 'class kit' format.

My first kit in the new format is called Child of the Universe, and I enjoyed playing with Little Yellow Bicycle papers and Pink Paislee alphabets.

Here's a sneak peek:

The sky's the limit

The Crafting in Style cyber crop is on again and this month the theme is "Sky's the Limit".

Liz has designed another challenging sketch and this is my interpretation:

My technique challenge is all about paper piecing. I produced a mini-tutorial and sample layout:

Both layouts were completed using product from the Scarlet Lime kit from May; all I added were the flowers.

The CISters also set the design team a challenge this time - the criteria: NO flowers, NO photographs, and use a transparency. This is my interpretation:

Cyber cropping

This month I was asked to prepare a challenge for the cybercrop at Keep'n the Memories.

My challenge was "a man's world, with a woman's touch" - and this is my LO:

And over at Scrap Boutique the Celebration Cybercrop is underway.

Details of the August Title Competition are posted now at Crafting in Style. This month it's all about magazine titles, with a list of five different ones to select from.

This is my sample layout:

Once again I used a picture of some very special little models, kindly provided by Liz and Jolene. And notice there is no journalling on this one - I've left heaps of space for Jolene to add her own words **wink**
