Christmas in July

Some pages I created for the Christmas in July cyber crop at Scrapping Clearly. No time this week to go out and get photos printed, so I only had a limited selection to hand.

Not really happy with this but I was trying to get this old photo scrapped, and I was just messing around with some old stash and a bunch of scraps.  In hindsight I would reprint in black and white and do it very differently!   I used a cut-file (August 2018) from Scrapbook & Cards Today.

Black and white

Another page for my Mum's memory album.  She told me about how most residents in her neighbourhood (and likely all over Brisbane) built air raid shelters in their backyards during WW2.  We've found a few different photos in Grandma's box of photos, which I will be scrapping and journalling about further in due course.

Soul Scrappers Quest

I'm joining in at Soul Scrappers Quest again - a fun challenge where we are sent a bunch of mystery items to use. The theme this time around is Favourite Food, and it was a requirement to use and decorate the provided recipe card. I created a fold-out page for my road trip journal:

All other items were in the packet of goodies that I was sent. I did a lot of fussy cutting (stamped image, patterned paper) and painting (die cuts) to alter some of the items - I used everything except for one sticker and one die cut.

ARTastic in July

ARTastic Challenge has another fantastic challenge this month.  This is the wonderful inspiration piece by Elioth Grunner:

The challenge criteria this month is RURAL/GARDEN SCENE, with FEATHERS.

We keep chickens at home, so I have an endless supply of poultry photographs!  This is 'Twitter' - the first rooster we raised from our own hatchlings.
