Toadly un-huggable

Another page for my work travel album, this one featuring Sarina, in the Mackay Region:

My Mind's Eye Collectable - Unforgettable - Firsts patterned paper
Kaisercraft Botanica - 6½" Paper Pad patterned paper
Glitz Design Teeny Alpha - Mint Grunge letter stickers
Value Craft Metallic Gold alphabet stickers

This page was inspired by the Random Word challenge at Soul Scrappers.  I used the word "huggable" - though probably not in the way it was intended!

A little bit vintage

I found an old family photo on my cousin's Facebook page, so of course I had to swipe it to scrap!

Recycled corrugated cardboard box
Kaisercolour White acrylic paint
Kaisercraft Grunge - Rebel patterned paper
Cre8tiv Stone & Wood patterned paper
Unbranded maple leaf cutting die
Tag {RAK gift}

I'm sharing my page at:

* Mystical Scrapbooks: Create something with a vintage theme - which should include paints/inks.
This layout features a photograph of my dad and his siblings in the early 1950's.

* Simon Says Wednesday ~ No stamps allowed
Paint and patterned paper and die cuts and tags and twine - but no stamping!

I'm sharing this page at Soul Scrappers for the September Guest Designer challenge - Use your scraps.
For this layout I put together a "page kit" from my 'green' and 'neutrals' offcuts, and also die-cut the leaf and flower embellishments from the scraps.

Adding some more pages to the travel journal...  this one featuring Noumea:

Cocoa Vanilla Hello Sunshine - Sunny Spots patterned paper
Hexagon washi tape

This one was inspired by the Mystery Bay challenge at Soul Scrappers.  The latest criteria is USE TRIANGLES.  I used two patterned papers with triangle motifs, and triangles for the banners.

Soul Scrappers is celebrating the site's 10th anniversary in 2020, with a SURVIVOR-themed year long challenge.  It's modelled on the reality tv show, except there will be no eliminations.  I've signed up and I will be sharing my creations on my blog.

** Participants can sign up all year - and there's also a random element so everyone has a chance to earn points and win some scrappy prizes **

The September challenge theme is MAPS.  I created another page for my cruise travel journal {which is getting fatter and fatter!}

Upcycled Jacaranda atlas pages
Cocoa Vanilla Hello Sunshine - Happy Days patterned paper
Cocoa Vanilla Flying High sticker
Cocoa Vanilla Made of Awesome alphabet stickers
American Crafts Thickers - Shoebox chipboard alphabets
Painted wood veneer shapes
Twin Seven decorative masking tape
Bakers twine

To make the origami ship, I followed online instructions that I found at Paper Kawaii.   Traditional origami doesn't use any fasteners, but I added a staple to keep mine flat on the page, and I also added some little embellishments.

ARTastic in September

This month at ARTastic Challenge we're sharing this artwork by Cathy McClelland.

Take inspiration from the picture, and include the challenge criteria, use a stencil.

Creative Embellishments Branches chipboard
Sea shells
Children's alphabet stencil
Authentique Journey - Stroll patterned paper
Cocoa Vanilla Love Always - Note to Self patterned paper
