Our first class at the retreat was presented by
Kathie Link. Kathie challenged us to use hand-writing on our layouts in both the title and the journalling. I found Kathie totally approachable, friendly and professional. She engaged everyone in the class through discussion and constant feedback. And she wasn't at all put out that my layout was
nothing like the one she asked us to work on!!
I am a huge fan of Kathie's work, so another thing I really enjoyed was the opportunity to see some of Kathie's layouts up close, in real life. Awesome...
Oh, and Kathie also showed me how easy it is to use watercolour pencils. They have to be one of the world's best kept secrets - so easy that even I can use them!

ReplyDeleteAnd, lol, I'm just the coach in my classes. You're the boss of me, as far as I'm concerned. If you come away happy, inspired and having been challenged to learn something new, then that's my aim accomplished. Looking forward to seeing the rest of the layouts. You girls scrapped up a storm. I should've come along and gotten some of my own work done, hey!
