ARTastic in April

This month, ARTastic Challenge features an art inspiration piece by the late Evelyn Chapman.  This is the painting ~

The challenge criteria this month is an REMEMBRANCE, with the colour RED.

I tried to ground my page with cream and muted colours like the painting, so the red would pop. I created a page in my art journal, using up scraps (click to enlarge):
