Scrap the Girls

Delving into my old stash again... mixing old stuff with more recent collections, and loving the result:

Materials
K & Company Jubilee - Teal Florals & Butterfly patterned paper
K & Company Blue Awning flocked patterned paper
Cocoa Vanilla Love Always - Note to Self patterned paper
Cocoa Vanilla Love Always accessory stickers
Tim Holtz Idea-ology - Grungeboard Dots - Elements skull
White gesso
Tsukineko Versamark - Watermark ink
Gelatin Stamps Gelly Powder - Northern Lights Blue Glitter embossing powder
October Afternoon Mini Market - Gray & Cream alphabet stickers

This page was inspired by:

* Scrap the Girls ~ Bloom from within mood board
My first thought was to use a text background, then build from there.  I'm not really into skulls, which is why the grunge board skulls have sat in my stash for so long.  My daughter, however, thinks they are cool!

* Lasting Memories ~ LM#490 Techniques ~ Texture
First time I've used a skull on a layout, and it doesn't look too gruesome, I guess. I combined two textures - the dotted texture of grunge board with the smooth embossing on top.

Thank you for visiting my blog!
