Hit the Road

This is my take on the RANDOM WORD challenge at Soul Scrappers.  The theme is TRAVEL, and I chose the title, HIT THE ROAD. I created a pocket page to scrap some older photographs from a school camp my daughter attended.

LIFT challenge

I'm joining in at the LIFT challenge at Soul Scrappers.

I took my inspiration from the large banner in the centre of the page, which I used as the feature element and the base for my journalling. I also used some tucked tags in the design.

Back to scrapping

Life has diverted me from my creative time over the past few months, with an extended holiday in July/August, followed by an early start to the bushfire season in September. Not a lot of "me time" at home! But I'm taking time this weekend to do some scrapping...

These ones were inspired by the Technique Talk cyber crop at Mystical Scrapbooks:

I started with the sketch to get started, and added my favourite technique - machine stitching.

Hey, funny face...

Over at ARTastic Challenge this month, we are showcasing a fun inspiration piece by Australian artist John Murray:
