Filling in a few more gaps in my day tripping travel journal today...
This one was inspired by the Boy Stuff challenge at Off the Rails:

Christmas in April
There's a fun challenge at Scrap Challenge Yourself this month:
After looking at the gorgeous DT layouts, I assume that is the American meaning of 'holiday' i.e. 'annual celebration/observation' such as Easter/Christmas/Halloween etc {and not the English meaning of 'holiday' i.e. vacation/time off}.
For me... it's definitely Christmas, and it's always a very low-key and casual affair. Last year I made a special effort to get myself in a photograph (!)
I'm also joining in at:
* Crafty Hazelnut's Patterned Paper ~ Anything Goes
As always, I love delving into my stash of patterned paper.

Focus
An interesting challenge at Scrap the Girls this month:
This one had me stumped for a while! I decided to start with the design elements as my inspiration - bold text, no frills or flounces, a straight-to-the-point message. Then the theme - dressing the part, and facing a challenge head-on.
So... all of this rolled into another page for J-girl's Cadet Games album (lots of space for her to add her own journalling):

The Explorer
This month at ARTastic Challenge, the criteria is PETS - inspired by this fun piece by Lisa Frances Judd:
I took inspiration from the mix of colours (I even included a splash of purple!) and the black outlines.
