I scrapped a photo booth sequence from a birthday party attended by my daughter. I took my inspiration from the colour combo, and dug into my stash of old Basic Grey and Kaisercraft papers.

I'm sharing this page at Soul Scrappers Screen 2 Scrap challenge, this month inspired by one of the most memorable movie posters, ever.  The artist was Roger Kastel.

I included all criteria -

* Blue/white/grey {Kaisercraft Stargazer ~ Milky Way patterned paper}
* Water theme {Minnie Water ~ ocean scenery}
* Red title {Sizzix/Tim Holtz  Alterations ~ Adventure Words Script cutting dies}

I also used a large arrow-shaped journalling card (reminiscent of the shark nose).  I got this in a group swap well over a decade ago, and I have no idea who made it... but I am so thrilled to finally use it on a page! 

I was also inspired to do a bit of research about the poster and artist, and I came across an interesting analysis of the poster.

This is my design team project for the May White with 1 challenge.

Lots of flowers {handmade with cutting dies}

I used patterned paper from Basic Grey {Scarlet's letter ~ Recognition}, and upcycled tissue wrap and corrugated coffee sleeve.  Lots of little red scraps used to make the flowers.

Elsie

I scrapped another page for my 1990's retro album. I've only got one picture of this gorgeous Golden Retriever "Elsie" who belonged to my future sister-in-law. Back in the 90's I lived on an island in the Whitsundays and there were no pets permitted, so I would get a 'dog fix' every time we visited friends or family on the mainland!

Hit the open road

This page was created for Scrapping Clearly ~ Palette Play: Vintage Charm

I was happy to use some silver/grey background paper that has been in my stash forever, which I think worked quite well for a road trip theme. I have a LOT of road trip scenery photos and it's fun to try different colour combos to add interest to my pages. For my title I used a pre-made cutfile from Scrapbook Fantasies, and backed it with paper scraps that matched the colour swatch.
