Crazy

Halloween is not really my thing. I find it very weird how Australian retailers have embraced (dare I say, exploited) American-style Halloween in recent years - the merchandise is everywhere and unavoidable. However, it does make for a great LO theme!!

And... I finally found a way to use the large skull piece from an old pack of Tim Holtz grungeboard. Stashbusting for the win!  A bit of white acrylic paint and silver glitter glue, and I'm pretty happy with how it turned out.

We're cyber-cropping at White with 1 this weekend, with a fun LETTERS & NUMBERS theme.

LETTERS #1 ~ Create a new page with your title in BIG lettering.

* WHITE with blue {Paige Evans Wonders - #11 patterned paper}
* BIG TITLE - I used some very old chipboard alphabets {Delish Designs Letter Bikkies Uppercase +  Wishmade chipboard} painted with pigment ink {Aladine/Seth Apter IZink Stratosphere}

LETTERS #2 ~ Create a layout where the title is a long quote or the start of your journalling.

* WHITE with blue - I used pigment inks for my background {Aladine/Seth Apter IZink Thundercloud and Stratosphere} 
* QUOTE - Description of Lightning Ridge from Lonely Planet guide book, which I thought was very accurate!
* TITLE - Letters made using my Cuttlebug and two sets of cutting dies {Technique Tuesday + an unbranded set}

This photo came to mind when I saw the challenge this week - with a large tyre-shaped archway in the background. I raided my stash of wood veneers and chipboard to find some circle embellishments. I used: Creative Embellishments Bubble Panel chipboard + a really lovely wood veneer piece from Some Assemblage Required.
