Moonbi Lookout

Another double page pocket scrapping spread:

Materials
Simple Stories Sn@p! Insta-page inserts
Bazzill Basics Fourz - Blue Oasis cardstock
Simple Stories Sn@p! Studio - Snappy Days journal card
Date stamp
Funky Flair Studios Boy Map Marker flair button
Blue chevron washi tape
Font: Limetart

I've been finding it quick and easy to add a page title to my main photograph with Photoshop - saves a LOT of time and I get a custom title in whatever style or colour I like, not limited by what I have in my alphabet stash.

I'm sharing my layout at:
* Challenge YOUrself ~ Inspired by the lyrics of Louis Armstrong: Skies of blue, clouds of white...  I love exploring new places with my family; we truly live in a wonderful world!
* Word Art Wednesday ~ Anything Goes

Woodford

I've started working on another mini album - all these years of scrapbooking with hardly a mini in sight, and now I've got four in progress!  I'm hoping the smaller format will motivate me to get a few more photos and events scrapped this year.

The new album is about our day trip to the Woodford Railway, and this is my first completed page, (which I think will be page 3 in the album):

Materials
Kraft cardstock
Collage Press Grayson Hall - Postmark patterned paper
Heidi Swapp Cinnamon Dot ribbon
Creative Embellishments Together Frame Set chipboard frame
Vintage book page
Metal star washers (from the hardware store)
Free printable White Clockface from inmyownstyle.com

I'm joining in with these challenges:

* Creative Embellishments ~ The January challenge picture reminded me a bit of steampunk style... thus the layout theme with the steam train, and I also added the antique clock face, featuring the lovely Roman numerals.  The frame is from CE and I backed the stencilled cut-out with red cardstock to make it pop.
* Really Reasonable Ribbon ~ Anything Goes.  My stash busting in full swing - I used  the last of my Heidi Swapp 1/8" ribbon to trim the page.
* Word Art Wednesday ~ Anything Goes.  'Together' ~ definitely an encouraging sentiment!

Woo hoo!

Another double for the J-girl's skydive album... and it's FINALLY done!  This has taken me so long to finish (the last time I worked on it was back in July 2016) because I am so easily distracted by other projects.  It's such a great feeling to have another finished album.  Click to enlarge:

Photo credit: Peter Brierley (GoPro 3, stillframe from video)

Materials
Bazzill Basics Kraft cardstock
Cocoa Vanilla Flying High - Journal Cards patterned paper
Cocoa Vanilla Flying High - Little Man patterned paper
Cocoa Vanilla Flying High wood veneer stars
Baker's twine
Gold sequin stars
Portacraft Sticky Glitter foam stars

Thank you to 123 Challenge for the inspiration, and the motivation.  I've included all of the January challenge criteria in my layout:

Colour:  Lots of colour in this layout but I've used BLUE to draw the eye across the page.
Word:  The word PROUD is included in my journalling.
Technique: I've used lots of STARS - patterned paper, wood veneers, gold sequins and glitter foam. Stars are one of my favourite embellishments.

Girraween - Granite Arch

I created some more pages for my Girraween day trip album:

Materials
Becky Higgins Project Life - Jade Edition patterned paper
Washi tape - red chevron
October Afternoon  Mini Market - Gray & Cream alphabet stickers
Kaisercraft Vines cutting die
Twinings packaging

I'm submitting this one at Paper Sweeties for the January inspiration challenge:

I was immediately drawn to the coloured scarves! We don't have a 'real' winter where I live, but on this day it was particularly chilly and we captured a few rare 'rugged up for winter' photographs.  I copied the first photograph and cropped it tighter, then printed both versions and mounted them on facing pages.

**********

This is the next double page in the album - my husband gets around in t-shirts, even in winter!

Materials
Washi tape - red chevron
Kaisercraft Vines cutting die
Twinings packaging

I'm sharing this one at Dies R Us for the Anything Goes theme.  I used Kaisercraft cutting dies to cut the vines from tea packets.

4/1/2017 edit to add:  At Karen Letchworth's invitation (see comment below) I am also sharing my page at Word Art Wednesday for the Anything Goes theme.  I haven't used the sentiment but I did make my own title, and my page was created in the spirit of the challenge:  Just let your heart guide you in making your art.

Art

This year I intend to do some serious stash-busting, so I've prepped a bunch of older patterned papers with white gesso to have on hand for use as light-coloured bases to work on.  For this layout I didn't add anything else to the background because I like the washed-out effect:

My layout was inspired by the monochrome challenge at Off the Rails Scrapbooking.  I chose the light green palette and kept my design very simple to keep the focus on the photograph.

One piece of patterned paper (Cosmo Cricket Material Girl - Measuring Up), one photograph, and a tag that I made last year.   (Finally found a use for the tag!!)

Cybercropping

In my latest tidy-up of my scrapbooking stash I came across a shaped mini album, which I must have won in a prize pack at some stage.  I haven't made many mini-albums in the past, but I  thought this one would be perfect for the photographs I took on my recent work trip to Rockhampton.  I'm using the heavy duty chipboard pages for the cover, and also as a template to cut extra pages for the inside.

Here's the first page I finished (which won't actually be the first page chronologically in the album):

Materials
Want2Scrap Labels Eleven chipboard album (used as page template)
My Mind's Eye Dreamy - Daydream - Funky Flowers patterned paper
Hotel note paper
Feather cutting die
Kraft cardstock
Kaisercolour White acrylic paint
Echo Park Kate - Lowercase alphabet dies
Carl Mini Daisy punch
Portacraft red paper flower
Green Tara 2.5cm Petals - Pale Pink paper flower
Kaisercraft Red pearls
Washi tape

The design of my page was inspired by Challenge 3 at the Mystical Scrapbooks December cybercrop, and I'm sharing my page at Clique Kits for the Anything Goes theme.
