Xmas 2016

This is the prompt for the December ARTastic Challenge

The challenge is to create a project inspired by the artwork, and this month's requirement is a Christmas theme.

I created a double page layout, using some homemade Christmas tree embellishments:

Materials

Studio Calico Classic Calico 3 - Chain patterned paper
Authentique Retro Christmas - Two patterned paper
Bo Bunny Country Garden - Charm patterned paper
American Crafts Thickers - Rootbeer Float foam alphabets

As the inspiration picture featured an owl, I added a little bird to my layout (cut from a teabag wrapper):

 

I also used an old Christmas card, and made my own Christmas tree embellishments from corrugated card, sequins and trim:
