Pandas

I created a super-simple layout today:

Materials
Kaisercraft Sakura Park - Kanzan patterned paper
Crayola Red watercolour pencil
Red paper clip
Kaisercraft Silver rhinestones

I was inspired by the March challenge at ARTastic, and this gorgeous artwork:

The challenge theme is ANIMALS, in any way you like.  My eye was immediately drawn to the panda peeking out from the middle of the animal pack.  I love the whimsical style of the painting, and I tried to create a layout where the pandas were the clear focus.

I'm also sharing my layout at Simon Says Wednesday for the Easter Inspired theme.  Panda Easter baskets - the cutest!!

My choice of patterned paper took me down the fussy-cutting route ~ a technique I find very relaxing ~ so I'm also submitting my layout at In the Scrap this month for the fussy-cutting theme.  Here's a detailed shot:

27/03/18 Edit to add: My layout was featured in the March highlights at ARTastic.

  3. Simple layout but so effective. Love how the photo pops out of the page and how you have surrounded it with the flowers. Thanks for playing along with our challenge at ARTastic.
