Vintage / shabby chic

Isn't this picture just gorgeous? It's the inspiration for the May challenge at Pixels and Paper, with the criteria of vintage/shabby chic.

Shabby chic is a style that I feel I never get quite 'right' so I really procrastinated with this challenge! I made a Mother's Day card for my Mum, with muted colours, distressed edges, doily, stitching and velvet trim:

Materials
Kraft cardstock
K & Co Blue Awning patterned paper
Paper doily
Maya Road Crushed Velvet - Cream ric rac
Poppy Stamps Darling Viola cutting die

I'm sharing my card at Simon Says Stamp for the Anything Goes theme.

Thank you for visiting my blog!
