Gateway Bridge

The bridge formerly known as the Gateway Bridge is a well-known Brisbane landmark, now correctly called the Sir Leo Hielscher Bridges.  {Most locals still call it the Gateway Bridge}.  I took a bunch of photographs from underneath the bridge last year, and I'm finally getting around to scrapping some of them:

Materials
Bazzill Basics Smoothies - Blackberry Swirl cardstock
Watercolour paper
ColorBox Art Screens - Mesmerised stencil
13Arts Ayeeda - Navy Blue Pearl mist
Little Yellow Bicycle Traveler cardstock alphabet stickers
Blue rhinestones

My layout was inspired by the March ARTastic challenge, and this fabulous painting by William Rose:

The additional criteria this month is to use STENCILS.  I thought the painting had an industrial/architectural kind of feel, so I used some photographs of the concrete bridge, with no people.  I used a spray mist to stencil a swirly design onto watercolour paper, then cut it into uneven strips and reassembled onto my page.  I added doodled borders to make the edges a bit more 'jagged', and because I just enjoy doodling borders!

Thank you for visiting my blog!
