O Christmas Tree...

Time to revisit Christmas past, and get some of the dreaded "not so perfect" photographs scrapped.  Blurry picture, but crystal-clear memories...

Materials
Bazzill Smoothies - Blackberry Swirl cardstock
Creative Embellishments Flourish Tree 2 chipboard
Thermoweb Decofoil - Summer Rainbow transfer sheet
Prima Rondelle textured canvas alphabet stickers
Tsukineko Versa Magic - Pixie Dust chalk ink
Whispers Pearl embossing powder
Carl Mini Daisy punch
Kaisercraft Dark Green rhinestones

My layout was inspired by the following challenges:

More Than Words ~ Traditions & Handmade

My layout captures our family Christmas tradition of visiting the city to see the giant tree in King George Square. In recent years we also stay to watch the light show.

My handmade embellishment is the string of Christmas decorations draped over the tree.  I made it by punching shapes from foil teabags,  then stringing them together with long strands of coloured cotton.  This is a progress shot, before I attached it to the layout (and before the bling was added):

* Creative Embellishments ~ December challenge

I took inspiration from the Christmas decorations.  I used a CE chipboard tree, which I painted with gesso, stamped and heat-embossed.  Something that dangles?  My homemade decoration string, which 'hangs' on the Christmas tree.  Here is a detail shot:
