Scrapping some older photos... back to 1996 and my first visit to NSW south coast with my then-boyfriend-now-husband. ~

Photo of me {around a week after my 50th birthday} + I used rainbow patterned papers {Vicki Boutin Sweet Rush collection}. I didn't want to waste a skerrick of the lovely paper, so I even added the thin trimmed pieces to my page.

* Simon Says Monday ~ Sparkle & Shine
I added sparkle and shine with glitter foam stickers {Crate Paper Wild Heart - Chill Thickers} and sparkly sequins.

Brisbane Tramway

In a recent tidy-up I came across another unfinished mini-album, which is my latest UFO target! This one uses an upcycled Little Golden Book:

I really like that the illustrations do all the heavy lifting. I use paper scraps to cover unwanted text, and I love adding personal touches such as stencilling and small embellishments. For this page I used a Tim Holtz layering stencil {Mini Set #49 ~ Script} with texture paste, and a few wood veneer cogs.

The sport theme is explained in the journalling - the temporary renaming of a town in honour of its hometown sporting idol, Kurt Capewell. I found the back story in this news article: Charleville becomes 'Kurtsville'.

Adventure

Another page for the 2021 Queensland outback travel album. St George ~ an impromptu stop with a wonderful few days relaxing after long our driving days. So happy to find last-minute availability on the sunset cruise!

White with SLATE GREY

This is my design team project for the August White with 1 challenge.

* Colour ~ Use SLATE GREY on a WHITE cardstock background to create your layout.
* Mood board ~ Share which element/s inspired you {I liked the grey slate bricks, and I used a brick patterned paper.}
* Must include ~ Pop of colour  {Pop of orange with the paper clip and baker's twine}

I had a bit of a stencilling fail, but hoping it fits the 'piggie' theme!
