Real Firies...
Firefighter Cancer Foundation Australia promotes knowledge,
awareness and advocacy for firefighters diagnosed with cancer. Firefighter Cancer Foundation Australia is a nationally registered
charity, working for active and retired fire service members and their
families. In September we choose to wear pink to further promote awareness.
I took my inspiration from the hot pink kombi in the moodboard at Scraps of Darkness:
... hot pink for our shirts, and the vehicle itself, because our photo shoots invariably include our trucks!
I used the September sketch from My Creative Sketches.
Materials:
Rose Moka Pique Nique - Bouquet de Fleurs patterned paper
Echo Park Birthday Wishes - Birthday Floral patterned paper
Echo Park A Walk in the Park - Playground patterned paper
Echo Park Sweet Summertime - Sunny Spots patterned paper
Collage Press Margot - Cherry Blossoms patterned paper

Materials:
Kraft cardstock
Teresa Collins Basically Essential stencil

Anzac Day
I love the beautiful inspiration board at D-lish Scraps this month:
I used each of the colours. I took inspiration from the chevrons and arrows. Here is my layout:
My title is actually gold, but the metallic shine is very difficult to photograph when the layout is flat. It's easier to see on the angle:
Materials:

Fancy Pants What a Wonderful Day - Terrific solid paper
Webster's Pages Recorded - To the Point patterned paper
Bazzill Basics cardstock
Portacraft Metallic - Gold alphabet stickers

A walk in the rainforest
Going green and simple with this layout:
I was inspired by the September tic-tac-toe challenge at Scrapbooking Top 50 Australia. I used: washi tape + leaves + journalling strips

Materials:
Vintage book page (Snugglepot & Cuddlepie)
LuminArte Twinkling H2Os - Irish Mist watercolour paint
Basic Grey Serenade - Dowager patterned paper
Washi tape
MFT Die-namics - Little Letters alphabet dies

Rose garden
I've been playing over at Mixed Media Monthly lately, trying to push myself to use mixed media elements on my layouts more frequently. This is the photo inspiration for September:
This is my layout:
I took inspiration from the circles, and used them as the main design element. I also used a mix of different colours. I created my background with stencil and spray ink, and used the crocheted embellishments for texture and added pop of colour, then matted my page with a darker layer of patterned paper.
I'm also joining in at Simon Says Wednesday for the Make it Colourful theme (colourful enough??) and at Clique Kits for the Anything Goes theme.
Materials:
Basic Grey Lily Kate - Chocolate patterned paper
Basic Grey Stella Ruby - Coffee with Dessert patterned paper
Trinket Track crocheted flowers
Scrap FX Whirlpools 6x6 stencil
Ranger Dylusions - Lemon Zest ink spray
MFT Die-namics - Little Lowercase Letters
Buttons
