This is my sample layout, a digi created with Tia Bennett's 'Apple Blossom' kit:

More sketch layouts
Just a few layouts that I've been working on over the last week:
This one was based on a sketch by Karen Mclaughlan at the MaDscraps cybercrop hosted by Vicki's Venue on the weekend:
Thank you Liz for the gorgeous RAK of the Crate pattterned paper, felt, and flowers.
Another sketch layout, for Scrap with V:
And another one, based on a Becky Fleck sketch hosted at Scrapbook Savvy:

Sketching with the CISters
Thank you to the lovely Liz for the opportunity to join the CISters Sketch Blog team this week and create a layout. This one is based on a sketch by Liz, and uses product from the May Stylish Pack:
The quote reads, "Beauty is a light in the heart" (from Kahlil Gibran)

Scream
Week 3 of the CISters Cinema Competition... and the theme is horror films. Not my genre at all, but it's all about the title!!

CISter Sunday
I had a fun and productive day scrapping with some of the CISters. Leone made the yummiest caramel slice, and it was fantastic to have Sara and Jody and Sara's mum Gaye join us for the first time.
I finished five layouts and one little special project that will remain a secret, just for now.
The first two were based on sketches from Sara's sketch blog, Stuck?
(Lee, if you're reading this ~ you will remember this!!)
The next two are challenge layouts for the Scrap Lounge cybercrop this weekend.
Rondelle's challenge ~ incorporate a mosaic, a Shakespeare quote, and handwriting:
Sara's challenge ~ a winter photograph scrapped with summer colours:
And the last one is a double page layout for the sketch challenge over at Chook Scraps:

The colour purple
Not really a colour I scrap with much. Actually, I avoid it!! Funny really, because I love wearing aubergine and deep purples, but I cannot get my head around scrapping with purple. So... Deb's challenge took me out of my comfort zone again:
May Stylish Pack
Over at Crafting in Style, the May Stylish Pack is now available in store. It's full of gorgeous blue and brown papers and embellishments... I've completed two layouts and there is still heaps of product for me to create with. These are the ones from the newsletter:
I found a quote from Marcia Weider and I knew it was just perfect for this layout:
"Use your precious moments to live life fully every single second of every single day."
And I knew which set of photographs I wanted to use for these papers, but I couldn't decide on a favourite one, so I used them all:

Mum's the Word...
at Crafting in Style this weekend!
The cyber-crop is underway and we are having a blast. The chat-room sessions are insane and of course, we have some fun challenges too.
Challenge 1: Ally challenged us to scrap a layout about something funny our Mum used to say. I'm stuck!! I have an idea about the title and journalling but not a clue about a photograph.
Challenge 2: My challenge!! A bit trickier than usual ~ a two-part challenge involving a word puzzle to find the criteria. Here is my layout:
Challenge 3: Based on Tatum's sketch:

A touch of digi...
I was working all weekend and not getting the scrapping time I craved! But I created a few digi layouts to keep the creative juices flowing, two of them for the Paislee Press Spotlight at oscraps this week.
I just LOVE Liz aka Paislee Press - minimalist and very elegant.
For this layout I modified the template provided:
And for this one I cropped the photograph to a 'non-traditional size' and used the new Fresh Linens kit. I also used Annelie's sketch from the Scrap with V cyber crop:
The last one uses the same kit, and I also played around with my Scrap Girls 'Curvy Mats':

May projects
The Crafting in Style May Stylish Pack is in store now. It's gorgeous, and with its blue and brown tones it is right up there with my favourite colour combinations too. Some sneak peeks of some of my creations so far:
Also in May, the CISters Cinema Competition is starting... so I am busy creating layouts for each of the six weeks of the contest, and the CIS cybercrop is coming up next week too.
For Sisterhood of Scrap, I am working on a layout for the Mystery Envelope which arrived in my mailbox this week. Busy, busy, busy...
